It’s safe to say that many Manchester United supporters will have been relieved to see the club officially confirm the signing of Jadon Sancho earlier this week.
The 21-year-old was the subject of extensive interest from Manchester United and after over a year of negotiating with Borussia Dortmund, an agreement was reached at the start of July.
Sancho’s involvement in this summer’s European Championship meant that a deal could not be completed until after the tournament but a transfer was eventually completed.
Nearly two weeks after completing his medical at Carrington, the club confirmed it had signed Sancho on a five-year contract, with an option for an additional year.

Manchester United fans in attendance at Loftus Road made sure to celebrate their newest capture and adopted the famous ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ chant by replacing Alexis Sanchez’s name with Sancho’s.
‘We’ve got Sancho, Pogba and Fred,’ rang around the ground at half-time as Solskjaer’s side went into the break level with the West London team.
