Journalist reports Man United and Pogba are closer to agreeing bumper new deal

According to a recent report from Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, who works for Calciomercato, Manchester United are edging closer to agreeing to a new contract with midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba, 28, is out of contract next summer and in a desperate attempt to see the World Cup commit his long term future to the club, the Red Devils have reportedly offered a whopping €22m-per season.

Although his country ended up crashing out at the Last 16 stage, the United man enjoyed a decent Euros 2020 tournament and was arguably Les Bleus’ best player throughout.

However, now back with his domestic club, deciding his long-term future will likely be at the top of the Red Devils’ ‘to-do’ list.

Despite having just 12-months left on his deal, Pogba is still worth several million so seeing him potentially leave for free next season will not be an option.

Since signing from Juventus in 2016, Pogba has featured in 206 matches, in all competitions and has directly contributed to 80 goals, along the way.

  1. For goodness sake is this a joke?
He has a good partner in Bruno, that’s why Bruno had a poor Euro tournament, he was knackered from carrying Pogba all season!
For the good of the club sell Pogba this summer, get what we can, part ex him for Varane of R Madrid, anything just move him on those wages being quoted are obscene for this player who only cares about himself.
