Harry Maguire issues promising verdict on Jadon Sancho amid Manchester United agreement

Harry Maguire is happy about his soon-to-be new club teammate Jadon Sancho.

It was announced this week that Manchester United had agreed a deal in principle to sign the Borussia Dortmund star, with a fee of around £73 million agreed between the two clubs.

Sancho has been a star for Dortmund since his 2017 transfer from Man City, managing to score 38 goals from 104 Bundesliga appearances, and he is still only 21-years-old.

He will make a huge difference on the right flank for United as it feels like a position we’ve ignored for years. Now, finally, with Sancho there’s an out-and-out winger ready to take on defenders.

United have only had width on the left in recent memory and it makes us way too predictable in attack.

Maguire gives an exciting verdict about Sancho ahead of his switch to Old Trafford.

“Jadon is a top, top player,” Maguire told the Daily Star. “He has exceptional talent even though he is still really young although he has played so many games.

“He has great experience in these big games. We’ve obviously got some exceptional talent in his position in this team.

“So he will bide his time and be patient and be ready when his opportunity comes.

“I’ve been really impressed with the way he has been working in training.

“He is really putting in a shift in day in day out. He has some great talent.”

England take on Ukraine this evening for a place in the semi-finals.
