Confirmed: Borussia Dortmund release statement on Sancho to United transfer

Borussia Dortmund have announced the imminent transfer of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.

The Bundesliga outfit has released a financial statement regarding the details of Sancho’s move to Old Trafford, which is still subject to a medical.

This move has looked like a done deal for some time but after years of tracking the winger, it looks like United have finally got their man.

The announcement from Dortmund is subtle – and we expect more to follow [H/t Caught Offside].

We are thrilled that the deal is at the final stages because that means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the recruitment team can turn their attention on more signings.

United need to sign a centre-back and reports suggest they want a right-back to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Sancho will help make United less predictable going forward. For years it seems like everything came down the left, but now we should be able to attack from all sides.

I hope United continue to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the transfer market to give him a real chance at going for trophies next season.

  1. Hope we sign a striker also as I can see Martial possibly leaving and Rashford could possibly be out for a while if he goes for an operation

  2. united need a defensive midfielder more than any other position. if fred is playing next season in that role then they have no chance of a real go at the title.
