Manchester United now set to go ‘all out’ for centre-back after Sancho deal

Manchester United are now set to ‘go all out’ in their bid to strengthen their backline after reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

The deal to sign the 21-year-old winger has been two years in the making but it looks like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally got his number one target and the club will reportedly now shift their focus to a partner for Harry Maguire.

The Manchester United captain is seen as the undisputed first choice at the heart of the defence but there are questions over Victor Lindelof, who partners the 28-year-old more often than anyone else.

According to Manchester Evening News journalist Rich Fay, the club will now ‘go all out’ on that position, whilst there is interest in other positions too.

Raphael Varane has been touted as a possible incoming for Manchester United this summer, with the Real Madrid defender reportedly being a priority for the club.
