England have been given a huge boost in their Euro 2020 bid after Gareth Southgate revealed that Harry Maguire had passed fit ahead of their penultimate group game against Scotland.
The defender has been a doubt for the tournament since suffering ankle ligament damage last month but is now said to have made a full recovery.
Maguire missed the first game of the tournament but watched on from the stands as his side started their Euro 2020 campaign as they mean to go on, with a 1-0 win over Croatia.
Southgate says @HarryMaguire93 will be in the #ThreeLions squad tomorrow, adding that "the decision we've got to make is whether he's ready to start" the game.https://t.co/ZI2ctsoQec

Gareth Southgate has now, however, confirmed that the 28-year-old will be involved in their crunch game against Scotland on Friday. The Three Lions can seal qualification to the next round with a victory and have been boosted by the news of Maguire’s fitness.
England confirmed the news on their official social channels, as seen above. Should Maguire feature for his national side, it would be the first bit of action for the United skipper for over five weeks.
Gary Neville expressed his doubts over whether Maguire should feature for England at all in the tournament but insisted that a return to play during the group stage would prove to be a big boost.
