Paul Pogba was in a playful mood when his France side took on a lacklustre Germany team in their opening Euro 2020 game. The two teams are half of this year’s ‘group of death’ but it was France who took a stranglehold of proceedings after a convincing win.
France limited Germany to just one shot on target all game and saw themselves have two goals ruled out for offside but looked by far the more dangerous side.
Pogba was named as the ‘Star of the Match’ by UEFA after the game and enjoyed a stellar 90 minutes for his side but also showed his playful side with 10 minutes remaining on the clock.

The 28-year-old was involved in a number of bouts with Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and although the German midfielder got the better of him in this instance, it was largely a comfortable afternoon for Pogba.
Manchester United fans will be watching with interest later in the group when Portugal take on France as their two midfield dynamos prepare to face each other. Fernandes, who played a key role in their own Group F game, will be hoping to stop the seemingly unstoppable French train.
