Dalot spent the 2020/21 season on loan at the San Siro, but was used sporadically by manager Stefano Pioli. The 22-year-old was called up to the Portugal national team for this summers European Championships due to a late withdrawal, but will hope to boost his chances of first-team football next season with an impressive summer.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, the Italian club have restarted negotiations with Manchester United over a move.

The publication claim that Dalot has expressed his desire to stay at Milan next season, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘surprised’, having expected him to return to the club.

The report also claim that an initial offer has been made to the club, but that Manchester United are yet to respond to the bid. Dalot has two years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford, and with an option to extend it a further year, they will see themselves as very much in the driving seat of negotiations.
