According to El Confidencial, Raphael Varane wants to return to France this summer.
There has been reports from the MEN this summer about Manchester United making enquiries to sign Varane from Real Madrid, but this new report from Spain suggests the player could instead opt to move to Paris Saint-Germain after a decade-long stay in Madrid.
Varane is now entering the final year of his contract at Real Madrid, so this could be his final chance to move to Old Trafford – whereas a return to France will always be a possibility…
Many Reds will argue that a better centre back alongside Harry Maguire could see United compete for silverware again. Properly and not by falling at the final hurdle, as seen in Gdansk against Villarreal last month.
My pick would be Varane.
