Manchester United have entered the race to sign Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez, according to reports. The midfielder enjoyed a stellar season on a collective level, ending the league season as domestic champions for the first time in seven years.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, but a move has never materialized with the Spanish side not willing to let their star man go.
But having been used less by manager Diego Simeone, the Madrid club are reportedly more willing to cash in on the Spain international than ever.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United have joined Juventus in the race to sign Saul. The report claims that Solskjaer is interested in bringing him to Old Trafford, but will also face competition from PSG, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Despite interest from other clubs, the Spanish publication claim that Juventus and Manchester United have shown more interest than the other sides.
Saul, who seems to be in high demand, has a release clause of £128m, but the Madrid club are said to be open to listening to offers well short of that figure.
