‘Man Utd medical!’ – fans react to Jadon Sancho exclusion from England squad

Manchester United target Jadon Sancho was excluded from England’s squad in their first Euro 2020 group game against Croatia, prompting speculation that the winger’s no-show is due to a pending transfer to Manchester United.

The exclusion can be down to a number of reasons, but the most prominent on Manchester United’s supporters lips is that an imminent move to Old Trafford could be the deciding factor.

With only 23 players allowed in a match-day squad, three players are set to be left out in each game. Jadon Sancho has joined Ben Chilwell and the injured Harry Maguire on the sidelines.

Manchester United are hot on the heels of Sancho, with an improved bid thought to be imminent after an opening offer was rejected earlier this week. The former Manchester City man is said to be looking for a return to England after four years in Germany.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to be involved in their next game, after seemingly failing to impress the manager in the two warm-up games against Austria and Romania.

Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw were also denied appearances – at least from the start. The pair were tipped to take up the left side of England’s side but will instead be hoping to make a positive impact from the bench.

  1. As regards the transfer options for Man United, I would go for Jack Grealish instead of Sancho. Grealish controls the ball in tight areas and is always in the game. He can also play in different positions. And as for number nine, United should go for Ronaldo or Kane at all costs. Of course they should also get a central defender. Did you see how many games United won after Maguire got injured? They lost almost all!
