After a hyper-successful 2019/20 season, goals were few and far between for Anthony Martial in the last campaign. The forward was United’s top scorer in the season before, notching up 23 goals, a career best for the former Monaco man.

Martial signed a five-year contract at the club in 2019, tying him down to at least 2024, with the club also having an option to extend that deal a further year.

But according to the Transfer Window Podcast, the Frenchman is ready to depart Old Trafford this summer and has been offered to Real Madrid.

The report claims that Martial has been offered to the Madrid club on a season-long loan with an option to buy, after the 25-year-old fell out of favour under Solskjaer this season. It is also claimed that Martial’s agent is pushing for a move as he tries to find a new club for his client.

Despite often being a frustrating figure at the club, Martial has retained a loyal fanbase among the United support. But with the club reportedly closing in on a deal to bring Jadon Sancho to the club, it could be time to cash in on the 2015 Golden Boy winner.
