Manchester United’s fastest player unearthed, surprising second place

Manchester United’s fastest player has been revealed in new Opta stats, prompting frantic arguing between fans. Solskjær is privileged to have a young, vibrant squad on his hands with plenty of fast attackers but will not have been surprised by the results.

Stats from Opta, via ManUtd.com, revealed that Marcus Rashford recorded the fastest sprint in the Premier League of any United players last season. In fact, the 23-year-old did it four times over.

Rashford holds the four fastest sprints at the club, coming in at 36.26 km/h, 35.28 km/h, 35.19 km/h and 35.09 km/h. Many would have thought that any list of this kind would be dominated by Daniel James but Mason Greenwood comes in at fifth place, recording his fastest sprint against Arsenal at home, a whopping 35.04 km/h.

It’s the second year running which Marcus Rashford takes home the prize, a clear favourite for the squads sprinter in the annual office olympics. Axel Tuanzebe has previously backed himself as the fastest player at the club, whilst Daniel James is known as ‘The Flash’ on social media.
