Leading football journalist Fabrizio Romano has offered fans a hugely exciting update on Manchester United’s pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Having pursued the young Englishman for the best part of two years now, the Red Devils finally appear to be on the brink of landing the talented young attacker.
After famously missing out on a late deal last summer, this year was always likely to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side reignite their interest.
Following recent reports that the club and Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are edging closer to finding a suitable agreement, Romano has taken to his official Twitter account to provide the United faithful with a detailed update surrounding the current situation.

The respected Italian journalist claims that United have agreed to offer the winger a bumper deal, expected to last until at least 2026.
Most excitingly though, it has now been reported that the two clubs have finally begun negotiating over a possible transfer fee.
Romano claims Dortmund are holding out for around £82m (€95m) – should the two sides reach an agreement, Sancho would become the 10th most expensive football transfer in history.
Now may really be the time to get excited!
