AC Milan submit offer to sign Manchester United full-back

AC Milan have submitted an offer to sign Diogo Dalot, according to reports. The full-back spent the 2020/21 on loan with the Rossoneri and has caught the eye of the club’s hierarchy, with the club now vying to extend the loan agreement.

Diogo Dalot, capable of playing on both sides, is unlikely to feature much under Ole Gunnar Solskjær next season and could be looking to rediscover himself elsewhere. Dalot made 33 appearances under Pioli last season, but was often used off the bench.

According to Calciomercato, the Italian club have made an offer to extend the loan agreement for another season with an option to sign Dalot permanently next year.

The publication claims that Milan are ready to set the price at €18m, but that Manchester United want to add an obligation to buy.  The right-back started 10 games for Stefano Pioli last season and his versatility is said to have won him another shot as success at the San Siro.

Dalot was in action for Portugal in the U21 Euro’s, narrowly missing out on the trophy as they lost to Germany in the final. The young defender will return to Manchester United after this three-week break for pre-season preparations.
