Man United open talks with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho

According to recent reports, Manchester United have opened talks with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund over the possible summer transfer of winger Jadon Sancho.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claims the Red Devils are preparing to have another go at signing at the England international.

Famously missing out on sealing Sancho last summer, United, despite launching a late £91.3m (Sky Sports) bid, were knocked back when Dortmund opted against offloaded.

However, this summer could finally be the window that fans see Sancho swap Germany for the sunny banks of Manchester.

It has been claimed that the Red Devils’ hierarchy has been offered encouragement that Dortmund’s transfer demands this summer are not as high as they were last.

Agreeing personal terms with the winger himself is understood not to be a problem after an agreement was already reached last year.

These reports come at the same time the Express and the BBC both claim there is an agreement in place that the winger will be sold should Dortmund’s term be met.

The required fee to prize Sancho away from Germany is understood to be within the region of £77m.
