(Video) David de Gea makes stunning reaction save to deny early Roma goal

David de Gea has prevented Manchester United from a poor start to their Europa League semi-final second leg against Roma.

United are heavy favourites to reach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first final as manager after thrashing their Italian opponents 6-2 in the first leg at Old Trafford.

But the Reds have been second best in the opening exchanges at the Stadio Olimpico and could have fallen behind had it not been for the brilliance of their Spanish goalkeeper.

De Gea kept out defender Gianluca Mancini with a fine instinctive stop, though there was a strong case for the goal being ruled out for handball in the build up.

United will be keen to avoid allowing Roma any momentum in the Italian capital with an early strike.
