Marcus Rashford has not played a game completely pain-free in two years.
That’s according to ESPN as the forward manages shoulder and foot problems but is determined to make himself available for England at the Euros this summer.
The 23-year-old plays a lot of football, and there’s a lot of responsibility on his shoulders whenever he plays. For instance, Rashford has made 264 appearances since making his debut as a teen in 2016.
Our fear is that if Rashford is required to have surgery, and he puts it off to play for England this summer, we could be without him for the beginning of next season.
Rashford has started seven of United’s last nine games but hasn’t completed 90 minutes in over a month. Everyone will hope that changes this weekend against Liverpool because it’s a big game he should be standing out in.
We’re sure he will be up for the game on Sunday, but long-term I have my concerns.
