Manchester United are making moves ahead of the summer transfer window.
The current campaign, which sees United set for a top-four league finish and a possible Europa League final, has certainly proved progression under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
In an attempt to better the side’s fortunes again next season, Stretty News understands that the club’s hierarchy is already setting out their summer transfer plans.
We understand that despite successfully negotiating a new contract with popular defender Eric Bailly earlier this week, a new centre-back is still a possibility.
However, despite the eagerness to land a new defender, a new striker is the club’s main priority and a position they will focus heavily on in the coming weeks – especially if veteran forward Edinson Cavani opts to depart at the end of the current campaign.
In fact, such is the obsession with a new striker, we can exclusively reveal that a recent offer was made to Everton for attacker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
We understand that Everton will not entertain any offers for their England international below a whopping £80m.
Despite agreeing a new deal with Bailly, Man United still consider a new CB “a possibility”.
However, it is a striker who is being viewed as the club’s biggest priority.
Sources have informed me a recent offer was made to Everton’s Dom Calvert-Lewin. Toffees demanding £80m.

In addition to a forward, should the club continue in their quest to land a new partner for Harry Maguire, Stretty News understands that Villarreal’s Pau Torres is a genuine target and a player the club remain in frequent contact with.
However, sources have confirmed that despite the interest shown in Torres, they do not expect the Spaniard to move before this summer’s European Championship.
Villarreal’s Pau Torres has a release clause just above £50m (€58m).
He is definitely a target for #MUFC – the club are often in contact with the player.
Sources have always been quick to tell me that they expect nothing to happen BEFORE this summer’s Euros though.
