Tonight’s win over Granada had a bit of everything.
Those were the words that came from Paul Pogba’s mouth.
The Frenchman is back to his best but had United fans on the edge of their seats tonight in fear that he would be sent off.
Our fears were not helped by the fact the referee looked like someone hoping to make the headlines, and that rarely ends well in Europe.
Pogba reacted to the win over Granada, on a night he captained the side, in a post-match interview with DAZN.
The midfielder explained why he had to come off and added that he thought he got the yellow card at the start for a foul against him.
“I made the run and I knew he was behind me,” Pogba added as he went through Cavani’s “beautiful goal”.
He also said that he’s enjoying his role in the team again because it reminds him of his old position in Italy.
Of course, the semi-finals grant Pogba an opportunity to return to Italy, with United set to face AS Roma.
