Roy Keane has a gut feeling that Harry Kane wants to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Kane was unable to prevent his Tottenham side being dismantled in the second-half by United on Sunday as the Reds put a further dent in Spurs’ top four hopes.
United moved 14 points clear of Jose Mourinho’s side after atoning the 6-1 humiliation at Old Trafford in October.
Sky Sports report that Kane is expected to ask to leave Tottenham if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and is becoming increasingly concerned with the club’s failure to compete for trophies.
It is added that Kane won’t make a decision on an exit until after captaining England at the European Championships this summer, and any move would need to be sanctioning by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be in the market for an elite striker this summer with Edinson Cavani’s future still uncertain and United in need of a long-term centre forward option.
There is perhaps no striker more complete in world football than Kane and United great Keane thinks the 27-year-old will be impressed with the progress being made at Old Trafford under Solskjaer.
Keane stated that he believes Kane ‘fancies’ a move to United, despite Micah Richards’ argument that the forward would prefer a move to a club where he is guaranteed major honours.
