Rashford matches Rooney stat on successful night in Spain

Marcus Rashford scored his 20th goal of the season and Bruno Fernandes gave Manchester United a two away goal advantage to put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in total command of their Europa League quarter-final tie against a physical Granada side.

For the first time in his career, Rashford has scored 20 goals in consecutive seasons, becoming the first United player to do so since Wayne Rooney – over a decade ago.

Rashford has experienced questioning about his finishing in the past but he was pushed on and I don’t think you can argue against the fact his scoring has been more consistent.

The same can’t be said about Anthony Martial and it’s still a blow to the side that he is likely to miss the rest of the season.

It’s also encouraging to think that Rashford should be aiming to score more next season. He’s that good.
