Manchester United line up summer move for Erling Haaland

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland in the summer transfer window.

Haaland is said to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one transfer target this summer and, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News, United are ready to make a move.

The youngster has enjoyed a terrific season thus far for Borussia Dortmund scoring a mighty impressive 31 goals in 30 games.

He is one of the most sought after forwards in European football and it is thought that a bid in excess of £75 million would be needed should Solskjaer wish to secure his services.

It’s no secret that Manchester United are interested in signing Haaland. Last summer the forward was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and with Cavani seemingly on his way out of the club, the Norwegian would be the perfect fit for United.

In many respects, Haaland would be the dream signing for United. At just 20-years of age, the youngster is one of the finest strikers in European football and is a really special talent. Despite the hefty transfer fee he would be worth every penny.

Quite often footballers don’t often hit their peak until their mid 20s and given how good Haaland already is, that is a frightening prospect for defenders.

Manchester United aren’t a million miles away from making a real push for the Premier League title under Solskjaer. Should United meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price, then I feel we have every chance of landing Haaland this summer.
