The 18-year-old handed United the lead against AC Milan in the Europa League round-of-16 tie at Old Trafford just five minutes after being brought on.
He has played just 38-minutes in substitute appearances in his fledgling career but his biggest impact yet has given the Reds a crucial advantage against the Italian giants.
Amad made a superb run to meet an exquisite Bruno Fernandes pass before showing great awareness to back-header past Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Solskjaer has eased Amad into first-team action after his arrival in January was unsurprisingly delighted to see the Ivorian teenager get off the mark.
