Tony Cascarino thinks Ilkay Gundogan is a better player than Bruno Fernandes

Writing for The Times, the former Republic of Ireland international gave the two Premier League midfield stars a rating out of 10 in the following areas:
Creativity – Gundogan 9, Fernandes 9.5
Defending – Gundogan 8, Fernandes 6.5
Finishing – Gundogan 8.5, Fernandes 9
Mentality – Gundogan 9, Fernandes 8
Team play – Gundogan 9, Fernandes 8
Pace – Gundogan 8, Fernandes 7.5
Total – Gundogan 51.5, Fernandes 48.5
Each to their own but you shouldn’t be surprised to hear we disagree with Cascarino’s ratings.
It’s very bold to suggest Fernandes is just .5 better off than Gundogan when it comes to creativity.
Does Gundogan really have a better mentality than Fernandes? The Portuguese Magnifico hasn’t won league titles yet but he’s been a real positive influence on the team — more than anyone expected.
And when it comes to finishing there’s no way are these two players are that close.
