(Video) Axel Tuanzebe denied first Man Utd goal after Victor Lindelof foul in build-up

Axel Tuanzebe thought he had scored his first Manchester United goal – only for it to be ruled out by VAR after a Victor Lindelof foul in the build up.

The substitute, playing in defensive midfield after a host of changes, showed great determination to leap and power home a superb header into the top corner.

But the goal was immediately checked by VAR and after a review, Lindelof was given a yellow card for what was a dangerous knee in the head on Real Sociedad’s Jon Bautista.

United are cruising at 4-0 up in tie after all the hard work was done in the 4-0 dismantling of their La Liga opponents in Turin.

But they thought they had a breakthrough through an unlikely source only for the goal to be rightfully ruled out.
