A night Shola Shoretire will never forget.
The Manchester United youngster came off the bench tonight against Real Sociedad to make his first appearance in Europe for the first team.
Like a number of kids in the academy, high hopes surround Shoretire and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided that now is a good time to trial him in senior games.
He went into the Manchester United history books tonight after becoming the youngest player to represent the club in European competition.
It’s a remarkable record when you consider how many youngsters have come through the ranks at United.

If the kid is breaking records at United, aged just 17, I can’t wait to see what he is doing in the coming years.
United are through to the next round and we’ll have plenty of coverage from the the round of 16 draw.
It wasn’t the most enjoyable game but United got the job done and Solskjaer also took the chance to give Amad Diallo more minutes on the pitch.
The more these boys play the more they’ll grow.
