Jose Mourinho wants to sign Manchester United’s second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The Tottenham manager, who previously managed United, allegedly wants Daniel Levy to sign Henderson this summer.

That is according to Sky Sports at a time the goalkeeper is not getting as much game time as he did the previous two season on loan at Sheffield United.

It is also suggested that Borussia Dortmund are interested in United’s academy graduate.

Henderson experienced life as a Premier League goalkeeper last season when the Blades were newly promoted to the top flight, and during that campaign he was one of the best goalies in the division. This season, however, he has been behind David de Gea in the pecking order and has made just 12 appearances across all competitions.

Despite signing a new five-year contract before the season began, Henderson has become a target for Spurs and it will be interesting to hear if Solskjaer is asked a question about the player’s future when he addresses the media this evening, ahead of United’s Europa League second-leg encounter against Real Sociedad.

MEN Sport recently reported that the 23-year-old has expressed concerns over his playing time.

However, contrary to reports, Stretty News ran an exclusive this week stating that Henderson is content at Old Trafford without any major concerns.

I think we should be asking if Henderson will be our No.1 next season rather than whether he will be leaving for Spurs.
