Marcus Rashford was substituted for Shola Shoretire tonight as the Manchester United Academy star made his first team debut.
It was a night to remember for young Shoretire.
We all dream of making our Manchester United debuts, but sadly few of us live to tell the story.
There’s not an inch of jealousy when a youngster or new signing gets the opportunity. Just pride.
Rashford is a player Shoretire will look up in hope of following his path to becoming a star for United. He sent a brilliant message to the 17-year-old, who became the seventh youngest player to make his debut for the club, tweeting: “Cherish this moment for ever little bro. Your family must be very proud.”

It’s crazy to think not long ago it was Rashford getting his chance and taking it under Louis van Gaal.
Now he can guide this youngsters and lead by example like he can lead a nation the correct way.
I think it’s telling that he has been chosen by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to fear tonight.
