Liverpool favourite describes Bruno Fernandes as the best in the world

Former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt says there are ‘no players better than Bruno Fernandes in world football’ at the moment.

Kuyt uses this to explain why Van de Beek is not getting the game time many would like to see him get at the moment, and people must understand that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a squad of players to look after. Ultimately his aim is to win every week and there will be challenging times for different players.

“I think Donny has been very unfortunate because there are no better players than [Bruno] Fernandes in the world at the moment and he’s playing in his position,” Kuyt told Sky Sports News (via the Mirror).

“I think Donny van de Beek has shown in the Champions League how good a player he is so his time will come.”

Fernandes was sensational again during the week in the Europa League first leg clash against Real Sociedad, scoring a brace in a 4-0 win in Turin. He now has 21 goals and 12 assists in his 36 appearances in all competitions this season.

What’s more is Bruno Fernandes has contributed 52 goals and assists, just one shy of Lionel Messi’s tally of 53. He’s next chance to match that unbelievable record comes on Sunday against Newcastle.

Van de Beek missed the game against La Real along with Edinson Cavani as both sustained knocks before the trip.

The Dutchman remains a doubt for tomorrow’s game at Old Trafford.
