Manchester United have joined the race for Leeds winger Raphinha, according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari.

Longari works for SportItalia TV and he claims Leeds are keen to keep hold of the player who joined them in the summer.

The journalist in question shared the news late on Tuesday night – relating to the winger who joined Leeds for just £17m from Rennes in the summer.

I can’t see Leeds selling Raphinha in the summer unless there’s a crazy amount of money offered, and there’s nothing to suggest Manchester United are willing to break the bank for his signature just yet.

Check Longari’s tweets below where he makes it clear that Raphinha has interest from Liverpool, too.

Raphinha has arguably been Leeds’ best player since the turn of the year, with his four goals and four assists so far this season having lifted Marcelo Bielsa’s side into the top half of the table.

The left-footer predominantly plays down the right-hand side and that is an area Manchester United should be looking to bolster in the coming months.

Steal of the season? Raphinha has a pretty strong argument for that one.
