Man United youngster included in Europa League squad

As shown on the competition’s official website, Manchester United youth product Shola Shoretire has been included in the side’s senior Europa League squad.

Shoretire, 17, has enjoyed a hugely impressive breakthrough which has seen the teenager successfully climb the club’s youth ranks.

After featuring in 36 matches in all competitions for United’s under-18s and under-23s sides, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently confirmed Shoretire has earned himself a call-up to train with the club’s seniors (via Independent).

The talented young winger who has already netted six-times in his first 14 domestic matches for the under-23s could be set for a shock first-team debut.

In what has already been a brilliant few days in Shoretire’s career, the teenager’s latest achievement has come after his manager has opted to include him in the Red Devils’ Europa League squad.

The impressive youngster has seen his name join some elite company after Solskjaer named him as one of four forwards for this season’s European campaign.

The other three forwards named in the squad are Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.

United’s first match in the Europa League is scheduled to kick-off on Thursday (8pm UK time) and will be against Real Sociedad in the competition’s first-round knockout.

Congratulations, Shola!
