Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Dylan Levitt has joined Croatian side NK Istra 1961 on loan until the end of the season.

Levitt is yet to breakthrough as a regular into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad and the Wales international will be desperate for game time with the European Championships approaching this summer.

The 20-year-old had his loan spell with Charlton terminated last month after playing just five times under boss Lee Bowyer.

His new side NK Istra are currently embroiled in a relegation battle in Croatia but this is a challenge Levitt appears to have had no hesitation in accepting as he looks to accelerate his own development.

Solskjaer has restricted Levitt to just one senior appearance so far, when he lined up alongside fellow academy graduate James Garner in the Europa League defeat to Astana in November 2019.

The talented midfielder will be hoping to impress his Norwegian boss and national team manager Ryan Giggs during his short period in Croatia.
