Bruno Fernandes hails Paul Pogba’s wonder strike vs Fulham

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has hailed team-mate Paul Pogba’s recent wonder-strike which proved to be the winning goal against Fulham earlier this week.

Fernandes, 26, joined United 12-months ago after making the switch from Liga NOS side Sporting Lisbon.

Since arriving at Old Trafford, the creative midfielder could not have started life better.

After featuring in 50 matches in all competitions, the talented Portuguese midfielder already has 45 direct goal contributions to his name.

Despite already becoming a fan-favourite, Fernandes is never shy when praising his team-mates, with the latest being Pogba.

Pogba, 27, has endured a turbulent period with the Red Devils since rejoining from Juventus in 2016, four-years after the Frenchman departed the Reds’ youth academy.

However, a recent upturn in form has seen the French World Cup winner come up with some game saving moments with his latest heroics coming during a mid-week Premier League match against Fulham.

Pogba’s second-half wonder-strike against Fulham sealed a 2-1 win and ensured the Red Devils took all three-points and in turn remained top of the league table.

Speaking exclusively on the club’s official website, Fernandes has hailed Pogba’s recent performance.

“Of course, you enjoy those kind of goals,” Fernandes said. “You know, everyone knows, and I think everybody will never forget Paul has that quality and he is capable of scoring that kind of goal, and the kinds of games and performances he is doing.

“I think you always enjoy it when somebody scores a goal like that.”
