Man United outcast emerges as target for host of clubs including Inter Milan

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly a transfer target for a host of clubs, including Serie A title contenders Inter Milan.

Despite spending a career spanning over two decades with the Red Devils, Lingard, 28, now looks destined to depart in the near future.

A series of underwhelming performances have seen the attacking midfielder’s playing time heavily restricted under current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lingard has failed to feature in any of his side’s Premier League matches so far this season.

Arguably the stunning form of midfield partners Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba have nudged Lingard even further down the Old Trafford pecking order.

However, after the Red Devils recently activated a one-year contract extension in the midfielder’s deal, the 28-year-old now looks odds on favourite to make the move away from Manchester.

There had been recent suggestions that Ligue 1 side Nice were keen on the United midfielder, however, according to Sky Sports News, the French side have since ‘cooled’ their interest and are unlikely to pursue a move.

However, that does not signal the end of the speculation surrounding Lingard’s United future.

According to a recent report from ESPN, Lingard has also emerged a transfer target for the likes of Marseille, Porto, Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United and West Ham United.

Despite the seemingly strong interest in Lingard, United are believed to be undecided in whether or not allow the 28-year-old to leave.
