Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has picked David de Gea over Allison in his his dream 5-a-side team.
The midfielder stressed that he would always base his selection on team chemistry and the Manchester United shot-stopper comes out on top.
I’m sure there will be several reactions to this from the Merseyside community in sheer disgust, but credit to Thiago for offering an honest assessment on the club’s official channel.
We’re not saying Alisson isn’t one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, but De Gea’s previous high standards outweigh what most keepers nowadays are capable of.
