Manchester United face Burnley and Liverpool in the Premier League this week.
Harry Maguire needs to be careful as he is at risk of missing the Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side can go on top of the Premier League with a positive result when they take on Burnley tomorrow night. And if they win that match they will have their title credentials set for a big test against the Scousers.
United cannot afford any complacent ahead of the two upcoming games and Liverpool’s form of late should be enough to motivate the lads.
On top of that, Maguire will need to be on his best behaviour versus Burnley.
The skipper is one booking away from an automatic one-match suspension.
With four bookings in 16 league appearances, Maguire knows players who accumulate 10 yellow cards are hit two two-match bans.
We all hope that doesn’t come back to bite us in the near end – and Solskjaer has a number of niggles in defence as it is with Eric Bailly going off with a neck injury against Watford at the weekend.
Being without Maguire on Sunday wouldn’t be a good thing…
