Mauricio Pochettino confident PSG can beat Real Madrid & Juventus to Pogba signing

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident he can sign Paul Pogba.

That’s according to the Daily Star, who claim the Frenchman is desperate to leave Old Trafford with United ready to sell the midfielder.

But hold your horses a moment — there’s no talk of an agreed price with United and Pogba will want to create a saga before he moves anywhere (think about all those engagements he will be seeking on Instagram).

Until then, I wouldn’t be too confident.

Pochettino, who assumed the reins in Paris last week after replacing Thomas Tuchel, believes Pogba is the perfect player to build a new team around.

Maybe in Ligue 1 — but surely he’s seen enough of Pogba in the Premier League to be aware that his work will be cut out for him if the former Juventus star joins PSG in the summer.

Pogba lost his place in the United team earlier this season but has clawed his way back in.

We just hope that United will strike a reasonable deal for Pogba when the time comes later this year.

Moreover, the former Tottenham boss is apparently convinced he can launch a successful swoop for the unsettled midfielder — beating Real Madrid and Juventus to his signature in the process.

It must be very different asking for transfers from PSG and Daniel Levy at Spurs!
