Manchester United have rejected Juventus’ swap deal for Paul Pogba which would have seen two players move in the other direction, according to CalcioMercato.
The report claims Juventus offered the services of former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and Brazil forward Douglas Costa as they opened initial negotiations for Pogba.
United don’t need any washed-up Arsenal rejects. We need players who are going to come into the squad and transform us into winners, and I really don’t think Ramsey or a 30-year-old Brazilian winger are things we’re really missing at the moment.
A return to the Serie A has long been mooted for Pogba and Juventus is a club where he left a lot of friends. There has always been question marks over Real Madrid’s supposed interested — and I would look closer at the fact that they’ve not got any players on their books represented by Mino Raiola.
Do they want to change that now with Pogba? I have my doubts and reckon the Spanish giants see him as more trouble than he’s worth.
Pogba may have a World Cup-winners medal in his back pocket, but his time back at Old Trafford has been underwhelming.

Yes man united need him becouse of his nice job through out ending of last year of his contributions to the team
If its possible that Pogba signs a new contract its good but if not why not change him with Haland.
Because Pogba would not go to Dortmund. They can’t afford his wages and aren’t of the stature Pogba wants to play for. I doubt he will sign a new deal as this would almost definitely end his chances of getting a move in the current financial crisis caused by Covid. While I like Haaland, his buyout clause doesn’t kick in till summer 2022 and I am.not sure I want another Raiola client at the club after his antics with Pogba over the last four years
We dont need him. We could save out by selling him. Huge wage saving. Also, I find him to b inconsistent and slow.
It seems certain that Pogba will leave this summer but how anyone could think that Costa and Ramsey would be a good deal for United is beyond me. Even the top brass at Juventus must know this would be a non starter. This is just the re-hashing of an old story, which didn’t make sense earlier on this season and it won’t this January or this summer.
