Paul Pogba has been at the centre of Manchester United’s most potent attacking play against Aston Villa.
United lead at half-time through Anthony Martial’s header; the Frenchman was found with a superb cross by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and made no mistake as he nodded past Emiliano Martinez.
And Martial was involved in a superb interchange with fellow countryman Pogba just moments earlier, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men almost created an opening with some exquisite play.
Pogba, operating on the left-hand side of United’s attack, was found by Fred and exchanged passes with Martial before having his cross diverted behind for a corner.
United can go level on points with Premier League leaders Liverpool if they capitalise with victory at Old Trafford.
