Man United target sparks transfer speculation after publicly praising Scott McTominay

West Ham United defensive midfielder Declan Rice has recently taken to his social media to praise Manchester United’s Scott McTominay, sparking speculation the pair could soon become team-mates.

McTominay, 23, who has become a figurehead in United’s midfield under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s has impressed immensely during recent times.

Arguably the Scotsman’s best performance in a United shirt came during the Red Devils’ 6-2 demolition of bitter rivals Leeds United during Sunday’s Premier League match.

The holding midfielder shocked footballing fans all around the world after bagging a brace inside the game’s opening three-minutes before putting in a Man of the Match performance.

In light of the midfielder’s breath-taking display on Sunday, fellow Premier League holding midfielder Rice was quick to praise his counterpart.

Rice, 21, like McTominay has been impressing after a series of eye-catching performances in England’s top-flight has seen the Englishman’s stock rise dramatically.

According to a report from MEN, the Red Devils are targeting four positions to reinforce; a right-back, a centre-back, a winger and a defensive midfielder.

MEN claim that among the list of potential targets is West Ham’s Rice.

In light of McTominay’s recent performance against Leeds United, Rice took to social media to praise the Scotsman declaring him ‘different class’.

McTominay has sparked suggestions the pair could soon be team-mates after responding to his 21-year-old fellow by saying: “Top boy, keeping doing the business pal.”
