Suggestions Mo Salah’s unhappiness at Liverpool could spell trouble for Man United

Mohamad Salah’s reported unhappiness with life at Anfield and could prompt Jurgen Klopp to offload the Egyptian forward, signalling the beginning of a chain of events which could ultimately effect Manchester United.

Salah, 28, joined Liverpool from AS Roma back in 2017 for a deal worth £37.8m, as per Transfermarkt.

Since his arrival at Anfield, Salah’s contributions cannot be denied.

The Egyptian wide-attacker has featured in 173 matches in all competitions and has been directly involved in a whopping 155 goals along the way.

However, despite a hugely successful three-year spell in Merseyside, there are reports that the 28-year-old could be set for a move away with the likes of Real Madrid linked.

According to one of Salah’s ex-team mates, Mohamed Aboutrika, who spoke to BeIN Sports, Liverpool are preparing to cash-in on their star attacker (via Mirror).

However, should Klopp decide to part-ways with his 28-year-old forward, there are suggestions that could spell trouble for rivals United.

Daily Express writer Jack Otway claims that a potential exit for Salah could pave the way for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho to make the switch to the English champions.

United have long been linked with a move for Sancho but after a summer of negotiating, a move for the English star ultimately failed to materialise.

Earlier this year, The Athletic reported that Klopp had told close friends he is an admirier of Sancho but fully expects the 20-year-old to move to Old Trafford.

Otway speculates that given the fact Sancho’s proposed move to United failed to be finalised, Klopp could be set to reignite his long-standing interest.
