Man United’s Marcus Rashford tops Champions League goalscoring charts

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford is this season’s Champions League top goalscorer after bagging six goals from five games.

Rashford, 23, has spent his entire career with United after joining the club’s world-famous youth academy when he was just a boy.

After climbing the Reds’ youth ranks, Rashford went on to force his way into the side’s first-team plans before being awarded with his senior first-team debut in February 2016.

Having burst onto the scene well over four-years ago, it’s easy to forget United’s number-10 is still just 23-years-old.

Rashford continues to grow into one of Europe’s brightest attacking talents and there is no better stat to prove that than this year’s Champions League goalscoring tally.

No player in European football has scored more goals in the illustrious Champions League than the United forward, so far, this season.

Rashford has six goals to his name after his side’s first five group matches.

After opening his Champions League account with the winner against PSG back in October, Rashford went on to net a superb quick-fire hat-trick against RB Leipzig.

Despite suffering a shock 2-1 defeat to Istanbul the following week, Rashford reignited his impressive goalscoring form after netting from the spot against the same opponents during the side’s reverse fixture.

Although the Reds eventually suffered a crushing 3-1 loss to PSG on Wednesday evening, United’s number-10 was once again on the scoresheet after a deflected effort found it’s way into the Parisian’s net.

How many goals can Rashford net this season’s Champions League? – Let us know in the comments.
