Arsenal have reportedly signed former Manchester United defender Reuell Walters with the youngster expected to go straight into the Gunners’ under-16s side.

Walters, 15, only joined United’s youth academy just one-year ago after the teenager also had a previous spell with Tottenham Hotspur’s academy, but the young defender is now set to wear a different kind of red.

According to Manchester Evening News, Arsenal have snapped the highly-rated youngster up as part of their latest scholarship intake in time for next season.

Walters, who plays primarily as a right-back, took to his social media to confirm the news by tweeting: “New chapter. New beginning. Thanks to God and everyone who has played a part in my journey so far, especially my mum, dad, sister, family, and friends. Also a very special thank you to everyone at Arsenal for believing in me. Excited to get started!”
