(Video) Edinson Cavani first touch in United shirt was inches away from goal against Chelsea

Edinson Cavani came super close to opening the scoring against Chelsea just seconds after replacing Daniel James as a substitute.

The match remains goalless but it looks like The Red Devils are beginning to find their groove. Conditions are difficult and both teams have struggled to create any big chances in the game thus far.

That’s what influenced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to bring on new striker Edinson Cavani and it almost worked immediately.

The Uruguayan came on as United were about to take a set piece and his stunning movement and flick could have easily ended up in Chelsea’s goal.

Luckily for Mendy, Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Cavani’s effort hit the side netting.
