Video: Man United Under 23 star’s stunning free-kick in thrilling Arsenal draw

Manchester United fans focused on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side’s crucial trip to Newcastle may have missed the thrilling game involving the Under 23 side just hours earlier.

Neil Wood’s young Reds drew 3-3 away to Arsenal in the Premier League 2 division, despite holding a 3-1 lead in the early stages of the second-half.

United’s moment of the match came just after the break when Spanish midfielder Arnau Puigmal produced a piece of brilliance to give the Reds the lead.

Puigmal, 19, netted an unstoppable free-kick from 20 yards out to give Wood’s side a 2-1 advantage.

Summer signing Joe Hugill added a third shortly after but United were pegged back by two goals from Folarin Balogun and had to settle for a point.

Teden Mengi, who has recently been promoted to the first-team squad dropped down to the U23s to get some minutes after being an unused by Solskjaer in Carabao Cup games against Luton and Brighton.
