Impressive statical evaluation of Manchester United new signing Amad Diallo

Manchester United reached an agreement with Atalanta on deadline day for winger Amad Diallo, who will join the club in January.

The Red Deviils will fork out £37.2m (via Sky Sports), which includes add-ons, for the 18-year-old who was also close to joining fellow Serie A outfit Parma last week.

If you were to compare this to any bit of business United have done in recent years you’d have to say Anthony Martial from AS Monaco. United are signing a youngster they believe will go to surpass such a demanding valuation for a young player, like the Fenchman is doing at Old Trafford.

Diallo made the move to Atalanta’s academy in 2015 and was handed his senior debut last October in a 7-1 win over Atalanta when he found the net after coming off the bench. The Ivorian winger became the first player born in 2002 to score a goal in Serie A.

Moreover, Diallo has made just three appearances in Serie A, while last season in the youth team he scored seven goals and registered 11 assists in 24 appearances.

We’ve come across some statistic on Diallo from MRKT Insights on Twitter which look really impressive.

No weaknesses are listed but all of the data is coming from Italian youth football.

His strengths include: Defensive duels, creating goalscoring chances, finishing, passes into the box.

It sounds like we could have a very talented player on our hands in Diallo.
