Champions League: Loads of Manchester United fans react to difficult group stages draw

Manchester United have drawn Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Başakşehir in Group H of this season’s Champions League.

United are back in Europe’s most prestigious competition after last season’s third place finish in the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have his sights set on qualifying for the knockout stages but it won’t be easy.

There’s no room for complacency in Group and it looks set to be a dog fight between three teams (sorry Basaksehir). At the same time, I am looking forward to taking on our Turkish opponents since it will mark the return of Rafael Da Silva.

The former United full-back left Lyon this summer.

Fans were quick to jump on social media after the draw — some probably got their updates via Twitter — before reacting to Manchester United’s tweet showing Group H in full (see below):

A lot of the responses are from fans feeling pessimistic. Maybe they’re realists after watching the team underperform, with a board unwilling to significantly strengthen the squad to help Solskjaer this season.
