Manchester United and Serie A side Lazio have reportedly reached an agreement for out-of-favour attacking midfielder Andreas Pereira.

Pereira, 24, has plummeted down the Reds’ pecking order in recent months after it became apparent that current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t see the Brazilian as part of his long-term plans.

Despite Pereira’s nine year spell with the Reds, the South American midfielder has managed to be directly involved in just nine goals in 75 appearances in all competitions for the club’s senior first-team.

United’s newest signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax for £39m (Sky Sports) earlier this summer more or less sealed Pereira’s Old Trafford fate with a move away from the club he has been with since 2011 looking increasingly more likely.

According to leading transfer expert Fabrizio Romano an agreement between both United and Lazio has been reached with the attacking midfielder expected to undergo a medical this week.

Romano claims that Pereira’s proposed move to Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio will begin with a season-long loan but the Italian club will have an option to make the move permanent for just under £25m.
