Man United exploring move for 18-year-old Atalanta winger

Manchester United have reportedly made contact over a potential transfer deal for highly-rated winger Amad Traore.

The 18-year-old is seen as a huge prospect after making some first team appearances for the Serie A side last season.

Traore is a skillful winger renowned for his pace and ability with both feet. He sounds like a recipe for disaster for opposing defenders but transfer reports tend to hype players…

According to the Manchester Evening News, United are exploring the possibility of signing Traore this summer, though the report outlines that he is not an alternative to Jadon Sancho.

That means whoever briefed that information wanted to make it very clear to the reporter that United have not given up in their hunt for the Borussia Dortmund star.

Fans will always be keen to see big names come through the door but football doesn’t always work that way. I haven’t seen Traore play but I trust Ole Gunnar Solskjaer based on his previous signings. He is fattening the squad as well as adding quality.

Atalanta have had some fantastic young players come through their ranks and they play a fast exciting brand of football as people found out in the Champions League last season.

But United are running out of time and need to get a move on.
